Biography
Chris Tausanovitch is a fifth-year Phd Candidate studying American Politics, Representation, Public Opinion, Congress, and Methodology. His dissertation uses Item Response Theory to model the political preferences of Americans and their legislators, combining information from six large sample surveys and one smaller original survey for a total sample size of more than 300,000 people. Using these estimates, he evaluates the effect of mediating factors such as income and competitiveness on representation at low levels of aggregation, such as House districts.

Chris is seeking a position in American Politics at a research university.
