Maggie Peters, Assistant Professor and the Thrice Family Scholar in the Department of Political Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison

 

 

Biography

Maggie Peters is an Assistant Professor and the Thrice Family Scholar in the Department of Political Science at University of Wisconsin--Madison.  She is currently on leave; for the 2011-2012 academic year, She will be a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Political Science at Stanford University.  Maggie received her PhD in Political Science from Stanford University in September 2011.  In addition to her studies in Political Science, she also received a Masters in Economics from Stanford University.  Prior to attending graduate school, she worked for the consulting firm BearingPoint (now part of Deloitte) in their international development group.  While working for BearingPoint, Maggie lived in Doha, Qatar and helped to create and implement a computer system for their Courts of Justice.  Maggie received her BA with High Distinction and High Honors in Political Science with a Minor in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
