Biography

Seung Cho is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (APARC) at Stanford University.  He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science at Columbia University in September 2017 and was previously a Predoctoral Fellow at Peking University, Beijing.

His research examines how China relates to international order and institutions. Currently he is exploring how Chinese and U.S. foreign policies interact and impact the formation, change and health of regional governance in East Asia.

More broadly, his research interests include: Chinese politics, Chinese foreign policy, U.S.-China relations, International Political Economy of East Asia, International institutions, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), IR theory and Qualitative and Mixed Methodology.
