Tom Dougherty, Lecturer in Philosophy, University of Cambridge

 

 

Biography

Tom Dougherty is a University Lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Cambridge. His research covers moral and political philosophy, including gender bias, and the under-representation of women in philosophy studies. He is currently working on an AHRC-funded project "The Ethics of Communicating Consent". His research has been published in multiple academic journals, including Philosophy and Public Affairs, Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, and Feminist Philosophy Quarterly.

Tom holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Massachausetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Balliol College, University of Oxford. After completing his PhD he joined Stanford University as a post-doctoral scholar, before moving to a Lecturer role at Sydney University.
