Nandita Balakrishnan is a Ph.D. Candidate with a focus on international relations and comparative politics. Her research agenda in security studies includes particular interests in civil-military relations, political violence, and human rights.
Charli Carpenter's teaching and research interests include the politics of war law, transnational advocacy networks, protection of civilians, humanitarian disarmament, and the role of popular culture in global human security policy. She has a particular interest in the gap between intentions and outcomes among advocates of human security.
Jason Lyall is Associate Professor of Political Science and the Director of the Political Violence FieldLab at Yale University. He is also affiliated with Yale’s Institution for Social and Policy Studies (ISPS), Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, and the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. He is also a member of the Evidence in Governance and Politics (EGAP) network.
Stephanie Rickard is a Professor at the London School of Economics. Her research focuses on international trade and negotiations. She’s currently researching offshoring and how plant closures to move abroad influence elections.
