Albert Chiu
Albert Chiu is a Ph.D. Candidate in political science focusing on political methodology. The ambition of his research is to help build a more credible regime of scientific discovery through the development of interpretable, accessible, and rigorous methods. His dissertation proposes a new framework for modeling sensitivity and a method for more richly characterizing and more interpretable presenting a result's stability to the choice of estimator. He is also broadly interested in the science of science, multiple testing, and the concept of statistical significance.
His work has appeared in The Journal of Politics, including a paper that won the 2024 Seligson Prize.
Albert graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, a B.A. in Political Science, and a minor in Economics from UC San Diego.
