Simon is a Ph.D. Candidate whose primary research interests include public goods provision and electoral responsiveness. His dissertation investigates why politicians sometimes fail to provide adequate funding for local public goods like education, health care, sanitation, and basic constituency services. During his time at Stanford, he has served as a teaching assistant for classes on research design, quantitative methods, political behavior, and comparative politics.
