"Myanmar is going through a once in a generation political transformation from authoritarian/military rule to an experiment in democracy. My Stanford political science education has been useful in understanding and analyzing this transition and the ever changing landscape on the ground. At Stanford, one of my political science professors pushed me to always delve deeper into any subject we were studying and I have tried to apply that lesson in my adult life by always trying to "drill down" in any subject before forming an opinion or taking a path of action."
"I work with a foundation engaged in development work in Myanmar. We focus on health and education and increasingly, advocacy, with the Myanmar Government. We work to increase equity and access to basic education and life saving health care for some of the most vulnerable populations in the country."
