The Honorable Yvette M. Palazuelos is a judge for the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Los Angeles. She was appointed by former Governor Gray Davis in June 2000. Judge Palazuelos received her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and her J.D. from Columbia University. Between the years of 1990 – 2000, Judge Palazuelos worked as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Central District of California. During this time, she specialized in prosecuting large-scale narcotics trafficking and money laundering cases. Judge Palazuelos has presided over unlimited jurisdiction civil cases for approximately 10 years, including the Michael Jackson wrongful death lawsuit.
