Ryan Pevnick

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics at New York University.

My current work is primarily in democratic theory, focusing – in particular – on questions related to the justification of representative democracy. Much of my earlier work was on immigration, though I have also written on a variety of other topics–including philanthropy, distributive justice, campaign finance reform, and civil liberties.
