Dr. Callan is a philosopher of education whose work draws heavily on contemporary moral and political theory. His principal interests are in civic and moral education, and in the application of theories of justice and democracy to problems in educational policy and practice.
Josiah Ober, Mitsotakis Professor in the School of Humanities and Science, works on historical institutionalism and political theory, focusing on democratic theory and the contemporary relevance of the political thought and practice of the ancient Greek world.
Gina Schouten has just begun a job as assistant professor of philosophy at Harvard University. She received her BA in 2006 from Ball State University. After a year spent teaching kindergarten in Denver, Colorado, she began graduate school at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she received her PhD in 2013.
Daniel Stegmueller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Duke University. He's also an associate member of Nuffield College, University of Oxford, and of CAGE, University of Warwick.
Erin Kelly earned her undergraduate degree in philosophy from Stanford University; in further pursuit of philosophy, she then went to Columbia University for graduate study before moving to Harvard University, where she earned her PhD.
